Suggest a Winter Session

WHAT IS A "SESSION?”
A session is a chance for people to gather around an expert or activity for the sake of having fun or learning something new. The term 'session' refers to a class-like setting or a band's jam session. It's a mashup of good fun and good conversation. For example: getting people together to play ultimate frisbee and grabbing a drink afterward, hosting a film and discussion night, or having people over for a time of baking dessert.

WHY?
As we’re heading into the winter, we want to give people a chance to build relationships through a shared experience. We hope this will happen around something that you already love doing and are good at.

WHEN?
Throughout January and February. Sessions are one-time events with the option of carrying on throughout the winter if your group chooses to do so. Your first session gathering will be advertised by Restoration. All future potential gatherings would be advertised and communicated by word of mouth within your group. But of course, there isn't any pressure to keep these going. Up to you!

WHO CAN HOST A SESSION?
If you're a regular Sunday attender at Restoration Anglican and are involved in some way outside of regular attendance (ministry team, life group, giving, etc.) you can host a session! If you enjoy being hospitable, are welcoming and like getting people together to do something interesting and fun, this is for you.

WHO CAN ATTEND A SESSION?
Anyone and everyone. People in the church and not in the church. A host needs to be prepared to host at least 8-10 people, but if only a few people attend your session, that's just fine.
